Thanks! I've had a lot of fun with this one. It felt like a very different experience drawing a map, whilst exploring. I plan on using this map as an overworld map for one of my campaigns when I find the right adventure setting to pair it with. It's definitely great to do over a rainy afternoon.
Thanks so much! I'm really happy you enjoyed it. Just so you know, Cartograph is in the Solo But Not Alone bundle right now for $10 on itch io. It's a steal – you get some awesome games like Wanderer - The Shadowed Realm, Ruincairn Wardensaga, and Galatea, plus a bunch more. I'm blanking on some of the others, unfortunately!
If it is anything like Alone on a Map or Mappa Imperium, then I am likely to really enjoy. I enjoyed reading the rules. I will be sure to let you know what I think about Cartograph after playing it.
I'm really enjoying my first experience with an artefact-style game! The fact that I can take the map I designed and use it for something else is fantastic. Because you crafted the setting, your knowledge of the world is unparalleled. This style of play reminds me of Jack Harrison's games, particularly "Artefact," where you create magical items that can be integrated into other TTRPG campaigns.
Great points! And coincidentally, I recently bought Artefact on Itch because I’ve heard so many good things about it. I’m looking forward to giving it a try.
Great write up! So descriptive! That game has been on my radar for a long time.

Great story. Definitely makes me want to check out Cartograph. It sounds like something I would enjoy.

You're welcome. That is awesome. I been eyeing Cartograph for some time now. Good time to get it. Thanks.
No worries! If you do end up getting it, I'd love to know your experience with the game
Actually got it and read most of the rules. Hopefully I will be able to play Cartograph soon.
I really hope you enjoy Cartograph. Let me know about your experience with it!

This was cool! I’ve never played an artefact game before, but your description of what they are was so evocative that it makes me want to try one out.

Please let me know how that plays, I've had my eye on that game for a while now!
What a great story. I’ll have to check Cartograph out. Exploration was always my favorite part of computer games, so I’m sure it’s right up my alley.
Glad to hear you have enjoyed the story so far! I have just released part 2.
You should definitely check it out if you enjoy mapmaking. A warning would be you need quite a few D6 dice in different colours for it to work well.
I love exploring in games too, and in this, it was nice knowing I could focus on the environment rather than the action.
